01

When custom website development makes sense.

Custom is what you choose when the platform has become the constraint. Think calculators pulling live rates, or research gated against your CRM. Content matched to account tier belongs here too.

These are not plugin problems. Pretending otherwise is how a site ends up with six plugins doing one job badly. Custom also ends the wait for someone else’s roadmap.

The shape is consistent. Next.js on the front, TypeScript throughout, and a headless CMS behind it. Edge rendering keeps load times near one second across three continents.

What this means for you.
A written architecture plan before any code
Marketing keeps CMS editing; logic lives in code
Speed limits removed, not worked around

Custom development services we offer.

Every engagement opens with an assessment that maps each requirement to where it belongs.

Next.js site with headless CMS

A custom front end for a site that has to do something. Calculate, gate, personalise or pull live data.

8–14 weeks

Web application

Dashboards, client portals and internal tools. They sit beside the marketing site and share its design system.

12–20 weeks

Performance rebuild

An existing site rebuilt on a modern stack. For when the current platform has run out of headroom.

Week 1–2

Requirements before architecture.

A capability review of what the site has to do, mapped against what WordPress or Webflow can reach. You get a written architecture recommendation and a scope you sign off before design starts.

Attackletics

A smart batting tee and coaching app for baseball and softball hitters, from youth players to pros. The brief was Japanese retro-cyberpunk — neon, scanlines and chromatic edges — on a store that still opens instantly on a phone.

Why teams choose Syscodes.

Most arrive after a platform stopped them shipping something the business needed.

01

Architecture is scoped first

A written plan maps every requirement to where it lives. Nothing appears in month six.

Marketing keeps control

A headless CMS sits behind the build, with previews configured. Editing feels like WordPress.

Frequently asked questions.

What to ask before committing to a custom build.

Still unsure?

Ask us anything before committing to a call. Most questions get a real answer within a few hours.

hello@syscodes.in+91 70034 16634Book a 30-min call
When does a custom website make sense?

When the site has to behave like software. Think calculators, gated content and live data. Custom website development also earns its place when the site must meet a rule no CMS can.

How long does custom website development take?

A Next.js website development project with a headless CMS runs eight to fourteen weeks. Web apps with logins and dashboards take twelve to twenty. A rebuild on a modern stack is six to ten.

Can our marketing team still edit the content?

Yes. A headless CMS website is as easy to edit as WordPress. Live previews are set up for every template. The difference is where the logic sits. It lives in tested code, not a plugin screen.

What does it take to run a custom build afterwards?

Upgrades, monitoring and a small amount of feature work. We hand over a plan in writing at launch. You can run it with your own team or keep us on a retainer.

Could we move back to a CMS later?

Yes, and we keep that route open. Content lives in a headless CMS rather than in code. Moving it is an export, not a rebuild.
