One direction, argued properly

Branding and design that holds together.

UI/UX, identity, packaging and campaign design, built as one system. Your team keeps applying it correctly long after the launch email goes out.

01

Our approach to branding and design.

The presentation goes well and everyone likes the mark. Six months later the sales deck has invented its own blue. The social grid no longer matches the site.

A logo is not a brand. A system is. The value sits around the marks. A type scale at real sizes, colour pairings that pass contrast, components and templates.

You get one direction and the reasoning behind it. You also see the territories we rejected. Then we iterate on that route until it is right.

What you get at handover
A logo suite with every lockup and clear-space rule
Colour pairings tested to WCAG AA
A type scale at the sizes you use
Editable templates for social, deck and print
Guidelines a new hire can follow

Design services we offer.

Most clients take two or three together, because the parts have to match.

One direction, fully arguedThe route we recommend, plus the territories we rejected. Iteration on the chosen route is included.
A system, not a folder of filesTokens, components, scales and written rules. The work still holds together two years later.
Contrast tested, not assumedEvery colour pairing is checked to WCAG AA. A brand nobody can read is failing quietly.
Templates your team can runSocial, deck, email and print masters. Editable where it helps, locked where it matters.
Production-ready print filesDielines, spot colours, bleed and finish. All to your printer’s spec. We confirm the file before release.
Every source file and licenceFigma, Illustrator and font licensing. All transferred in your name. IP is assigned on payment.

Roll out

Week 1

We listen before we draw.

Stakeholder interviews, a category and competitor audit, and a positioning workshop. The designer is in the room, not reading a summary afterwards. The output is a written brief you sign off before any visual work starts.

Week 2–3

One route, and the ones we rejected.

You see the recommended direction applied to real touchpoints, with the reasoning behind it. You also see the territories we explored and set aside. It is a design decision presented as an argument, not a vote.

Taken all the way, including the awkward bits.

The direction is developed across every application, with iteration included. Edge cases get resolved rather than avoided: the odd lockup, the sixteen-pixel favicon, the placement nobody remembered.

Tokens, components, scales, templates and written usage guidance a new hire can follow on day one. This is the stage that decides whether the brand is intact next year.

What we design.

Identity, interface and packaging work — the published examples live in the portfolio.

Design that has a job to do.

Identity, interface and packaging, made to be used.

  • Brand identity and logo systems
  • UI and UX for web and product
  • Packaging and print
  • Campaign and social design

Design work is usually delivered inside a client brand rather than as a case study of its own. The storefronts in the portfolio are the clearest public example of the same team’s design decisions in the wild.

Frequently asked questions.

Including why we present one direction rather than three.

Still unsure?

Ask us anything before committing to a call. Most questions get a real answer within a few hours.

Why do you only show one design concept?

Because three finished options turn a strategy decision into a taste vote. Two of them were never real. You get the direction we recommend, the reasoning, and the routes we rejected. Iteration on the chosen route is included.

How do you scope a branding and design project?

On the first call we agree the disciplines and the surfaces. We also agree what your team runs afterwards. That becomes a written scope with a timeline and a deliverable list. Every project is quoted individually against it.

Do we own the design files and fonts?

Completely. Figma and Illustrator sources are transferred. Font licensing is documented in your name. IP is assigned on payment, with no ongoing fee.

Can you refresh our existing brand instead of replacing it?

Often that is the better call. We audit first. Then we tell you honestly whether a refresh or a full rebrand fits your goal. Where the recognition is worth keeping, we tighten the system around it.

What is the difference between a design agency and a digital design agency?

Mostly scope. A digital design agency stops at the screen. We also produce dielines, print artwork and retail packaging. That matters when a brand has to work as a favicon and as a carton.

How long does a branding project take?

Six weeks is typical for an identity. One week of research, two on direction, two on refinement, one to systemise it. Packaging ranges run four to seven weeks.
